The team behind DataValue.

A clinical scientist and a community builder, aligned on returning ownership of health data to the people who generate it.

Martin Karl Schneider

Martin Karl Schneider, MD, PhD

Co-Founder & Chief Scientific Officer

Martin leads the science at DataValue. A physician-scientist trained at Stanford Medicine, his work sits at the intersection of clinical practice, translational research, and the data infrastructure that connects them. He has published across genomics, oncology, and digital health, and has spent years inside the systems that today decide who gets to see patient data and on what terms.

At DataValue he is responsible for the scientific protocol behind the Personal Health Data Agent — how medical records, labs, imaging, and wearable signals are aggregated, structured, and made meaningful for a single person. He works directly with research partners to ensure that data licensed through the platform meets the bar that pharmaceutical and academic studies require: cleanly de-identified, fully consented, and clinically coherent.

Simon Stawski

Simon Stawski

Co-Founder & CEO

Simon Stawski builds the patient side of DataValue. Over twelve years he founded and grew Eat Your Kimchi, a media company that reached 620 million views and seven-figure revenue almost entirely through organic content and audience trust. From that practice, he built Build a Ladder, a chronic illness community of more than one million people, and developed an unusual specialty: distribution, brand, and trust-building at scale for the communities that traditional health systems serve least well.

His work focuses on the patient-facing layer of health data infrastructure — how people aggregate fragmented medical records, understand their own conditions through AI, and choose how their consented data participates in research. He writes about health data, patient autonomy, and the evolving relationship between technology and chronic illness.
